About Sarah Margaret McIntyre Springle

She was born in Thomas County Ga on March 29, 1925. She was baptized at only the age of twelve. Before graduating high school, she worked faithfully in the church. She served on the Usher Board as a secretary and chairman of the floral committee. She was the first black woman President of Fletcherville and 2nd Presbyterian. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post. She served there as the President, Vice President, Sergeant-at -arms and secretary for thirty-three years. She felt carrying out these roles was her way of serving God. She continued her work until her eyesight weakened. While fulfilling the Lord's work she married and birth 13 children of her own. Whom she loved and instilled the lord's prayers and words. She not only loved her own she loved others. She worked in the Thomasville School System for seventeen years with a ton of kids and also fostered a child for three years all while being a Godmother of seven. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing poems and sharing them with others. She was one great woman full of love and wisdom. She served in her community faithfully. Her service did not go unnoticed. She received the Women of Year Award at the Golden Age Club and the Outstanding Community Service Award at the Washington Assembly Golden Circle. She served the community and others well. It's only right that her acts of service are demonstrated furthermore throughout the generations she created and birthed.
